Dom Ruinart
Maison Ruinart and the Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2007 vintage
Founded in 1729, Maison Ruinart is the oldest Champagne house, established in Reims by Nicolas Ruinart. Inspired by the writings of his uncle, the monk Dom Thierry Ruinart, the house quickly gained a reputation for its excellence in the production of champagnes, particularly highlighting the Chardonnay grape variety, which brings finesse and elegance.
The Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2007 cuvée is a tribute to Dom Thierry Ruinart and reflects the house's art in Chardonnay. Coming exclusively from Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs, this vintage is distinguished by its complexity. The atypical climatic conditions of 2007 allowed the grapes to mature slowly, offering remarkable freshness and finesse.
After more than 10 years of aging in the chalk pits, the cuvée reveals subtle aromas of white-fleshed fruits and acacia flowers, with a slightly toasted touch. On the palate, it is both creamy and lively, with a beautiful minerality and a persistent finish. This setting embodies the excellence of Ruinart's know-how, seducing champagne lovers in search of a refined experience deeply rooted in the history of Champagne.
